How to Know if Your Hot Tub Needs Service

Hot Tub Cover

Flow Error Codes
If your spa is flashing an error code, it’s a sign that something is wrong and you may need one of our spa experts to diagnose the problem to prevent further issues. An error code could indicate poor circulation from a clogged drain, filter or circulation pump.

Temperature Fluctuations
A water-temperature variation of about 2 degrees from your set temperature is normal, but when temperatures vary beyond that, and the spa has a well-fitting cover, then one of our spa experts should diagnose the problem. The change in temperature could indicate a problem with the heater, control panel or sensor.

Losing Water
It’s not unusual to lose 1-2 inches of water per week, especially in winter when cool air temperatures cause the hot water to steam and evaporate, resulting in decreased water level. If you notice your water level is dropping faster than that, it’s a good idea to start diagnosing the leak, before winter if possible, to avoid a hot tub disaster. Note any puddling, icicles (if below freezing), or drips indicating the possible source or location of the leak. Please don’t hesitate to contact us immediately to locate and repair a leak.
